
SPECIAL ORDER: Leek & Spring Carrot Couronne
Couronne, or “crown bread”, is a small ring-shaped bread (think round baguette or giant bagel) that is traditionally packed with tasty bibs and bobs. Its shape allows it to be cut into thin slices ideal for shingling a cheese board. This week ours will include spring carrots and lightly sautéed fresh leeks. The dough will be prepared with 50% freshly milled whole grain flour to really push the farmers market flavors forward. Big ups to Sweet Beet Farm and Rockey Ole Farm for the veggies.
